In late 2013, volunteers from the DKMS Foundation – the bone marrow donor centre – invited me into their student project “Dla Ciebie to 5 minut, dla Kogoś to całe życie” (“Five minutes for you, a whole life for someone else”). I made them a 76-second dance film announcing a donor registration drive. The choreography was by Akademia Tańca Szał, a dance school in Białystok; the film itself was my job.
The campaign
I published the film on 1 December 2013. It promoted the autumn finale of the project: on 11 and 12 December 2013, people could register as potential bone marrow donors at universities across Poland. A spring finale was planned for April 2014, and the organisers aimed for 20,000 new registered donors over the 2013/2014 academic year.
It is a separate project from the interactive “Misja Genetyczny Bliźniak” from 2012, but it serves the same cause.
