Yoga on holiday · Maciej Korsan

Joga na wakacjach (“Yoga on holiday”) is a series of free outdoor classes in the Lower Garden of the Branicki Palace in Białystok, led by Anna Chomczyk, known as Joginka w podróży. Summer 2025 was its third season: from 22 June to the end of August, mostly on Saturday mornings, open to anyone who turned up with a mat.

I photographed the season’s opening class on 22 June 2025. Radio Akadera, the radio station of the Białystok University of Technology, ran twenty of my photos as the gallery for its piece “Letnia joga pod chmurką” (“Summer yoga under the open sky”, 12 July 2025).

A dense crowd in triangle pose, each with one arm stretched up

Wide shot: rows of people on mats under the park's tall trees, a woman seated on a pink mat in the foreground

Participants sitting on their mats, all raising clasped hands above their heads at once
