Photos in Kwartalnik PRONAR

In 2008 I was shooting games of the Pronar Zeto Astwa AZS Białystok women’s volleyball team. Three of my photos ran in “Kwartalnik PRONAR” issue 2(5)/2008, the in-house magazine of the farm machinery maker from Narew, one of the team’s sponsors.

The article

The photos illustrate Marek Orciuch’s piece “Nadal wśród najlepszych” (Still among the best, pp. 70–71) about the team holding on to its place in Poland’s top women’s league. In the relegation play-offs they beat Wisła Kraków and Centrostal Bydgoszcz, a side that had been hoping for a national championship medal before the season started. Coach Dariusz Luks had taken over halfway through the season.

My shots show the last instructions before a match, fans waving scarves in the stands, and the players on court in front of a packed hall. Each one is credited “Fot. Maciej Korsan” with my email address at the time, on the azs-bialystok.pl domain.
