Programistok 2017 took place on 7 October, and I was on the organising team again. Around 450 tickets were sold.

Promo film

This time we took viewers, along with an inquisitive reporter, to a village called Programistok, “hidden somewhere in our computers’ volatile memory”. I wrote and directed the film with Mateusz Andrzejewski and did the camera work and editing myself. The cast included the folk ensemble Klepaczanki, who close the film singing “Ojra! Tariri ojra!”, and Bogusław Korsan lent his voice. Maciek Dziemiańczuk and the Zabłudów municipal culture centre helped us out.

Live intro

The conference opened with an intro I built in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Web Audio API and Web MIDI API) and performed live in front of the full hall. The screen introduced the speakers and their talks while I mixed the sound from the promo film on the fly.

Photos

I also photographed the conference as Korsan Studio – one of those photos illustrates, for example, an attendee’s write-up on udfnd.pl. Korsan Studio was also one of the event’s partners.
