KORSAN:2000 is the third One Photo a Day exhibition, and the first one that lives entirely in the browser. On 26 January 2021 I posted photo number 2000 to Tookapic, and on 29 January I launched korsan.pl with the whole collection. In the intro I wrote that I was sorry we couldn’t meet in person that year.

Tell me, Korsi!
The exhibition holds every photo from the project’s first five years plus my own selection of favourites – not only the shots I’m proud of, but plenty of everyday life and photos taken at the last minute before midnight. Next to every photo there’s a button labelled “Opowiedz mi Korsi!” (“Tell me, Korsi!”): visitors can ask me to record what I remember about that day, or what the frame reminds me of. At the earlier exhibitions I told these stories live – here, recordings took their place.
I kept working on the site after launch. On 30 January I finished the recordings for my selected photos, and on 31 January I added 13 more for photos suggested by visitors, along with a sortable list of all recordings. It now holds 79 stories.
On Polskie Radio Białystok
On 30 January 2021 Monika Kalicka published a piece about the exhibition on Polskie Radio Białystok, with two interviews: one with me and one with Tookapic’s creator, Paweł Kadysz. I told her that I remember the moment caught in every frame and can say something about each photo. Kadysz explained that finishing a year-long project isn’t something everyone manages, but 80% of those who do keep going for longer than a year.
In the exhibition’s intro I gave myself a decent chance of reaching photo number 3000. It ended at 3650.
