One Photo a Day
3650 daily photographs, one every day for ten years
- photography

One Photo a Day is my longest-running project: for ten years I took and published one photo every day, without missing a single one. The first went up on Tookapic on 7 August 2015, the last – number 3650 – on 3 August 2025.
How it started
Back then I was a wedding photographer. After a night spent editing a couple’s wedding photos, I decided I wanted to do something more with photography, and tried the 365 project on Tookapic – a service created by Paweł Kadysz where you post one photo a day for a year. The first frame was my desk lamp: a LEGO Darth Vader.

The year that didn’t end
The plan was 365 days, and I didn’t really believe I’d make it – routine wears me out. I took photo number 365 on 5 August 2016, holding a “365” sign among Tookapic people and hanging prints. The next day I posted another one, and kept going for nine more years.

The collection holds pretty much everything: family and friends, the streets of Białystok and Podlasie in every season, the night sky and the Moon, Norwegian landscapes, drone shots, code on a screen and a lot of LEGO. Shot on a DSLR, an instant camera and a phone – including plenty taken at the last minute before midnight.
Exhibitions
I turned the round numbers into exhibitions where I told the stories behind the photos:
- 2016 – the first exhibition, after the project’s first year,
- 2018 – KORSAN:1000, after photo no. 1000,
- 2021 – KORSAN:2000, an online exhibition with recorded stories behind the photos.
What it taught me
As I told Polskie Radio Białystok in 2021: first, I learned that I’m capable of doing something every single day. Second, that a big camera isn’t necessarily the best camera you can have – what matters more are the moments in which you take the photo.
The last photo
To close the tenth year I shot my own eye with a macro lens, with an X made of two LED lights reflected in the iris. That eye had witnessed every moment I captured in the project, so it felt right to give it the final frame.
