KORSAN:1000 was the second One Photo a Day exhibition, put together to mark photo number 1000. The plan had been one photo a day for a year; on 2 May 2018 I posted photo number 1000 to Tookapic – without a single day off.

The day before, on 1 May, I was Monika Kalicka’s guest on Polskie Radio Białystok. We talked about where the ideas for daily photos come from, what sticking to it taught me, and whether a project like this is a good idea for beginners. I promised that after photo no. 1000 I’d prepare a surprise for the people of Białystok.

I attached a short video and an exhibition invite to photo no. 1000. The event, “Wystawa Korsan:1000”, was scheduled for Saturday 12 May 2018 in Białystok, co-organised by HACKLAG.

As at the first exhibition in 2016, I told the stories behind the photos in person. Three years later, for KORSAN:2000, those stories went online as recordings.
